Court has been moved from Monday to this Friday. Kick up the prayers please!! : )

Hello Everyone,
Sorry about the late post. We opted for a shark attack movie last night. We had a great day, it was a lot of fun spending time with the kids. They are starting to mimic us, Jeff and McCale are working on this mouth popping noise routine, quite the show when they get going.

It’s amazing the changes in the kids since they have been having more nutritious formula – and a lot of it!! We are going through about one can a day. Once we get home we will work on making it more balanced with cereal but for now we are giving them as much as they want, when they want it. This is what we have been told to do. Their cheeks are getting more color, they are becoming more active and the nap time is decreasing slightly. They have formed their own opinion about when nap time should be as well, if it seems too early, or they want just another little bit of bottle we certainly hear about it. In a big way.

McCale is starting to reach up toward us to be picked up and is becoming more ‘clingy’, not in the negative sense of the word though. At the babyhouse they were often picked up two at a time under each arm. The children would remain limp when we would pick them up as if we were going to do the same. They are both starting to pull their arms around us and tuck their legs up into us.

Another notable change is that they will vocalize when we they want to play with us, they will give us the old stare down and coo until we can’t resist to get on the floor and b low on their tummies! All very delicious things to do with our little sweethearts.

Their eyes are looking much better and we wonder if it had been the new blanket we placed on the floor for them to play on vs. the sheet? We are not sure but we switched that and along with the antibiotics from Marlee they are looking and feeling much better. We will continue the drops for the suggested five days. McCale takes them like a trooper, a couple blinks and a dirty look and he’s done. Karleigh acts as if we are putting acid in her eyes. We have to do two sneak attacks on her or we would never get her eyes pried open. I think it hurts us far more than it hurts her. Wow, that’s the first parent like thing we have said….and I know she is saying “yeah right!” just like the kid always does. Ahh..its starting already.

Yesterday Jeff took a nice long walk, he ended up at the RAM store in a round about way and picked up a few small items we needed. It was over an hour and two diapers before he returned. The walk and alone time does a body good when most of the time is spent in the apartment with the kids.

Last night I headed out to meet a few other families and give Marlee a phone adapter that they needed to be able to access the internet from home. We went to the Guiness Pub for a drink and dinner as well. The food was good, but the company even better. Jaci and Sheldon, Marlee and Lee and the Halls attended, it was very relaxing and enjoyable conversation learning about where everyone was from etc. I was sorry that Jeff missed out, but it was nice to be out without the kids for a couple hours. Don’t call me a bad mom, call me a refreshed one!!

On the way home we picked up Gulnara our coordinator as Emil was going to drop her off to get her car from the shop. She was glad to see me as she had news – our court date was moved to this Friday not Monday. We are very excited about this, and I’m a little nervous. Jeff has not said he is nervous but this puts the pressure on. He is expected to give a speech on our behalf asking for the children and explaining why we are a good choice. In many ways this should be harder than a marriage proposal because of the number of people that will be there. For now, we will just concentrate on the day. Thursday night Gulnara is going to come over so we can practice. Since my mother will not be here yet we will hire a nanny for the kids for the day. At 5 dollars an hour that seems like the best thing to do. They don’t take kindly to us leaving them in the trunk in these parts.

Well, the kids are up and McCale is giving me the old stare down so I think I will go ahead and give him a few kisses on his slobbery wet and scrumptious cheeks!! More later!!

Love and kisses to you all!
Colene
