Karleigh turns six months old today!

Greetings from Clinton NJ!! We wanted to provide a brief update before we leave!

Today our little Karleigh turns six months and McCale is a week behind her. It seems so unreal that next week at this time we will be holding them in our arms!

We are putting the final touches on the house, cleaning bathrooms, etc. for our housesitters. Jeff has done a great job putting together packets for everyone, directions for the dogs, etc. It all seems to easy and Im sure we will find that we have forgotten something critical like underware or deoderant. But you know, at this moment, it just doesnt matter. (and what if it did?).

Time has been moving by both quickly and slowly, this should have been part of our adoption packet - along with "go with the flow". It feels like when you are standing at the edge of the ocean and the wave goes back out - the sand rushes over your toes and makes you feel like you are moving - but you are not. Thats the only way I know how to put it.

We are so sad to leave our dogs, in the past day ofcourse you know they have done some of the cutest things....it makes our heart melt. Jack (beagle) managed to run away w/ two bones wedged in his mouth, it looked like a huge grin. He was so proud of himself. Molly just found a large stuffed animal that she has taken a liking to. For now it will be treated like her baby, next week "the shredder!". (Don't worry MomB, its not the plush beagle and shepard you got for the kids!!). We know the dogs are in good hands and will be walked, loved and given many many cookies while we are away. It helps to know that. Thank you everyone who is helping!!!

To our house sitters, please eat the food in the fridge and freezer - its there for you!!! PS. there would have been a few more beers but we polished off a bunch last night!! : )

Well, tomorrow is our flight. We are off to Germany - Then Almaty Kazakhstan. What an adventure. More from us when we touch down!!
Love and kisses, Colene and Jeff.
